Happy Days - Artful Delight

Happy Monday everyone! I have a layout to share with you that I made with the new July Artful Delight scrapbook kit. This kit is full of fabulous crafty goodies. I flipped the sketch on it's side and came up with this using the Fancy Pants Time for Spring papers... 

The photo is of my friend Denise and her daughter Callie at 1 year old. It was taken shortly after she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She wanted family photos taken one last time before the chemo treatments would make her lose her hair. Denise has since lost her battle with cancer a little over a year ago. Her husband recently gave me this photo to scrapbook along with some others. Denise would have wanted scrapbooks for her daughter. At least I can do this for her.
I stamped and embossed butterflies using the Prima stamp that was included in the kit and used the Mr Huey's mist to add some splatters and color my canvas butterfly. Unfortunately the embossed butterflies did not photograph very well.

The Prima flowers in the kit this month are absolutely gorgeous....
