Spider Web Treat Bag - Lori Whitlock

 Hello everyone.

September is just whizzing by and in no time it is going to be Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! I wanted to make some treat bags for the little ones. Lori Whitlock's Spider Web Treat Bag (SVGSilhouette) would allow me to embellish the bags myself using the Echo Park Paper Halloween Magic collection. They  turned out Spooktacular!

I added ribbon and a tag from the die cut ephemera pack so I could tie the bags shut.

Stickers from the sticker sheet worked well to embellish the bag fronts.

I know these bags will put a smile on someone's face! Lori has lots of other fun Halloween bags and treat boxes in her shop. Take a look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Halloween Party with Pebbles!

Hello blogging friends!

I love throwing Halloween parties. It’s fun to decorate the house and invite people over whether its a pumpkin carving party or a Halloween costume party. Of course, part of the fun is creating some party favors to help set the mood. Here is what I came up with using the This is Family collection that Jen Hadfield designed …

Even though this collection is not Halloween based, the colors of the pattern papers have a Fall air about them and I had no problems making them work. The kids will get a kick out of these pumpkin treat bags. I used a svg cut file from SVGcuts called Barn Party. These treat bags could be filled with candy or even popcorn. A clear acetate sheet let’s you see just what treats are inside.

I also spray painted the outside of some pint sized mason jars to look like candy corn. A trick here to prevent overspray is to wrap some scrap paper around the jar and affix with a rubber binder. I spray painted my jars with the opening face down to prevent getting any paint inside the jar.

Once the paint was dry I cut faces from black vinyl to adhere to them.

Box cards make great table decor on your buffet table. This Jack-In-The-Box black cat isn’t too scary. I have a couple of black cats that I took in as strays so it was hard to resist making this one. This svg cut file is also from SVGcuts and is called Halloween Box Cards. It does fold flat in case you wanted to mail it.

I hope this gives you some ideas if you are planning on throwing a Halloween party. This Is Family papers and embellishments are sold through American Crafts. You can also get the This Is Family collection at JoAnn Fabric Stores!

It's A Girl! - Baby Shower Party Decor with Pebbles

Hello blogging friends!

Our theme this week over on the Pebbles blog has been party invites. Since I am helping to plan a baby shower for my nephew and his new wife who are expecting a girl, I decided to go with a baby shower theme. The Pebbles Loves Me collection was perfect with all those pretty pink pattern papers and cute die cut ephemera pieces and stickers. I found this cute umbrella bag digital cut file at SVGcuts and could not wait to make these. They are going to look so fabulous on tables at the baby shower! I could fill them with snacks. They would also be awesome as small gift bags.

Each umbrella is created from two different pattern papers. They are not full umbrellas, rather the back is flat. This left space for me to stamp "It's A Girl!" and then embellish with die cuts and stickers. Each one is different.

There are adorable sloths adorning the handles of each umbrella as well as bows.

Don't pack your Loves Me collection away just yet ... Valentines Day is over, but this collection can do double duty for baby girls, Easter, Mother's Day and so much more!

Cards and More with the Clique Kits Spring Card Kit

Hello blogging friends!

I am back today to show you some of the things I have created with the awesome Clique Kits Spring Card kit. This kit features the oh so popular My Mind's Eye On Trend 2, an adorable Waffle Flower Crafts bow die, and a fabulous Honey Bee Stamp Set that is only available now in our Spring Card Kit! Take a look ...

I have to tell you those flamingos and pineapples are my favorites. They were the first things I used to adorn my cards...

  YouRock

My daughter's Vet School white coat ceremony is Saturday!!! I made this card for her. The glassine bag will work perfect to stick a little gift card into. Just what my girl needs ... a little $$ to make it through the next 52 weeks of her externships. Yup, I am one proud mama! Check out this adorable bow! I love that Waffle Flower Crafts die!

  BowDie

My next cards make use of more of the dies in the ephemera die cuts pack. These dies make it so easy to put a card together fast! Can't decide what paper to use ... use 2 and cut them on a diagonal for a different look....

  PineappleCard

Not wanting to waste paper, the other diagonal pieces went on another card :)

Yes, there was a fabulous Honey Bee Stamp set as well. I used it on this coffee cup I created from an SVGcuts Good Day at the Office digital cut file. It looks like the real deal, doesn't it. I am going to fill it with chocolates for my office assistant who is retiring. It would make a great teacher gift too. I stamped the sentiment here with VersaMark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

  CoffeeCup

The butterfly was stamped on vellum and then embossed with a white embossing powder before I fussy cut it out.

If you like what you are seeing, then you better hurry and snatch up your Spring Card kit in the Clique store before they are gone! Use coupon code Marcia10 and save 10%.

Halloween Treats - No Tricks | Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends!

This Fall is just flying by... I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I created a couple of special treat bags for some special little people that will be stopping my house to Trick or Treat. I couldn't resist creating a treat bag with these marshmallow Peep Ghosts using some of my Halloween Top Dog Dies from the Fall release. Of course I had to add some of my favorite M&Ms in there too.

I am using some Jillibean Soup Witches Brew papers. The bag topper was created using the Top Dog Dies Signature Antique die which is folder over the top of the bag. Then I could embellish the bags using the Top Dog Dies Spiders die set and the Top Dog Dies Pumpkin die set.

Supplies:
Top Dog Dies Signature Antique die
Top Dog Dies Spiders die set
Top Dog Dies Pumpkin die set
Top Dog Dies Halloween
Top Dog Dies Typewriter Lowercase

Shop the Top Dog Dies Store for all your die cutting needs. Check out the fabulous new Winter dies that were just released too.

School Treat Bags - Imaginisce and a Top Dog Dies Tutorial

Hello blogging friends.

It seems like the kids just got out of school and already it's time to think about them going back. Sometimes a little note from Mom or a snack presented in a fun way lets them know that they are loved even if you aren't there for lunch anymore. I created a couple different school treat bags to give you some ideas using the Imaginisce Family Fun papers. With 'School is Cool' and 'School Rocks', I hope to convey going back to school in a positive way.

Let me show you how.

You will need...
Cardstock, Pattern Paper, Top Dog Dies (Signature Antique, Antique Mat, Typewriter upper case, lower case, and Numbers & Symbols, Dinosaur Trio, Fish, and Pennant Banner), googly eyes, adhesive, Score-Pal, Die Cut Machine, treat bags, candy or crackers.

Step 1.  I cut the blue cardstock 6" x 5" and scored at 2.5" on the 5" side.

Step 2. Fold cardstock in half on the score line. Arrange cardstock on Signature Antique die using washi tape to hold paper in place. The folded side of the cardstock should be near the middle of the die as we do not want to cut the fold off. Run through your die cut machine.

Step 3. We are going to do the same thing with the pattern paper only we are going to use the Antique Mat die.

Step 4. Die cut the other shapes and letters you will need.

Step 5.  Assemble the treat bag toppers.

Step 6.  I like to run the entire treat bag topper through my Xyron 9" Creative Station. This way I know my treat bag is not going to fall apart spilling its contents everywhere.

Step 7.  Fill you treat bags with candy or goldfish crackers. I stapled the tops to help keep the bag sides folded in. Now set the top of the bag on the adhesive.

Step 8. Fold the top down to seal the treat bag shut.

I used my I-Rock to add some fish bubbles on my School is Cool treat bag. The I-Rock is super easy to use to add metallic gems or glam rocks to any project.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers (Family Fun), i-Rock, metallic gems
American Crafts: Cardstock
Xyron 9" Creative Station

Valentine Treat Bags with Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends. I have another Valentine project on the blog today for Top Dog Dies. Here is a treat bag that you could mass produce easily for classroom treats if needed.

I used the Signature Chelsea die to cut out my pattern paper. Then I scored the paper in half so that it could be folded over the top of a treat bag. I filled my bags with Hershey Kisses of course, stapled them shut and used my Xyron adhesive to adhere to the paper over the top of the bags. You can embellish the tops with stickers or more die cuts. I used the

Supplies:
Top Dog Chelsea Signature Die
Top Dog Heart Mini Album Finishers Die Set
cardstock in white, black, pink, and red
pattern paper, stickers : Imaginisce
Xyron Creative Station, tape runner
Scoreboard

I just received some new dies from Top Dog and can't wait to play with them. You are going to love them too :) Thanks for stopping by.

Back To School Treats with Pebbles and Xyron!

Hello blogging friends! Are your kiddos back in school yet? I think these treat bags will get some smiles from them and maybe homework won't look so bad after a snack :)

Xyron is teaming up with Pebbles and I got to play with the new Back To School collection. This collection rocks with its primary colors, fun patterns, and reward stickers. I found this treat bag topper by Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette store and couldn't resist. That owl is so cute!

When die cutting small shapes, How many of you end up losing the smaller pieces? I used to lose them all the time!!  I have a solution for you...

Run your small shapes through your Xyron Sticker Maker or Create-a-Sticker machine as soon as you are finished cutting them. I take them directly off my cutting mat and place them in my Xyron Create-a-Sticker machine. Now, no more lost dots to those i's or other small pieces.

Supplies:
Pebbles Back to School papers and stickers
Xyron 2.5" Create-a-Sticker machine
Xyron Mega Runner
Teresa Collins Plier Stapler
Core'dinations cardstock
