You Are The Peanut To My Butter - Cocoa Vanilla Studios

Hello blogging friends!

I am back today with another Cocoa Vanilla Studios  Endless Summer layout. This gorgeous collection is a new favorite of mine. I just love the pastel color palette. Like all Cocoa Vanilla Studio collections it is versatile enough to use for photos other than summer fun. My inspiration for this layout was the "so Sweet" puffy sticker. What could be sweeter than young love? Here is my layout...

I wanted to use the ombre pink Sunbleached pattern paper underneath a cut file and I found this poem that I love; "You are the Peanut to my Butter, Milk to my Shake, Twinkle in my Eye, Beat of my Heart". There is lots more to this adorable quote but I only have a 12x12 layout, lol. I love the variation in color from top to bottom throughout the quote.

My photo is embellished with that "so Sweet" puffy sticker as well as stickers, paper blooms, flair, wood veneer, enamel shapes, and woodies.

My title starts off with a die cut "You" using the Sweet Treats pattern paper, then I used stickers from the Life is Beautiful and Hello Lovely collections. Some clouds and arrows from the die cut ephemera keep things interesting as well as more enamel shapes, woodies, and another cloud puffy sticker.

I really love how this layout turned out with that subway art title. Of course, I added a few more embellishments over the words.

Mom, Just Another Word for Love - Cocoa Vanilla Studios

Hi blogging friends!

I am back today sharing a layout using the soft and beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Studios Free Spirit collection. With Valentine's Day coming, I couldn't resist doing a layout with a heart. I found this awesome cut file by Kolette Hall in the Silhouette Store and knew it would be perfect with the Free Spirit collection. I used a photo of my Mom and I taken on Mother's Day. Doesn't she look great at 70!

I backed the negative space with two different pink pattern papers, then I embellished around the heart with the enamel shapes, flair, and these gorgeous heart pieces.

I didn't want to cover up too much of my die cut heart, so I kept the layers to a minimum and embellished my photo with the ephemera die cuts , wood veneer, and stickers.

I love this background paper with all the words... so fitting for my layout title; "Mom, just another word for love". Check out all of the fabulous papers and embellishments in this collection on the Cocoa Vanilla Studios website

 Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Party Decor - Imaginisce

Hello blogging friends,

I love decorating my house for Halloween... and if you're going to all that trouble you might as well throw a Halloween party, right! Truth is, I just like having a few friends over.

This year I wanted to try printing on burlap to create a unique home decor piece. I found this digital file by Kolette Hall in the Silhouette Store. This was actually much easier than I thought it was going to be. You can be sure that I will be creating one for Thanksgiving and Christmas now too. I decided to decorate my frame with rosettes. These are quick and easy to make with the Imaginisce i-Bond cordless glue gun. I wasn't sure how many rosettes I wanted, or what size either. So I made several different sizes from black and white pattern papers I found in the Happy Traveler collection. I decorated my rosettes with die cut numbers "31" and puffy stickers. Don't worry, those extra rosettes will be used to adorn some cupcakes.

I love my cordless i-Bond Glue Gun. It's low temp, so I don't have to worry so much about burning myself. It dries really fast... which is good when making rosettes, you don't have to hold them in place very long.

Here are a few detail pictures...

These yummy cupcakes are from my local Nadia cupcakes.... she is a cupcake wars winner!
