Easter Baskets - Pebbles

Hello blogging friends!

I wanted to share a DIY Spring Easter basket idea that you can create with beautiful pattern papers from the Pebbles Hey, Hello collection. I am using the Easter Egg Hunt digital cut file from SVGcuts. There are lots of gorgeous floral papers perfect for Spring to choose come.

This would be a perfect craft to do with your children while they are home. Pick a favorite color cardstock and floral pattern paper combination, like this pretty teal floral with eggs from the Hey, Hello collection.

Or a pretty pink ...

Tie some raffia ribbon to the handle for a feminine touch.

Or is blue your favorite color? I love the little birds and flower pattern on this beautiful paper.

Which floral pattern would you choose? Wishing you all health and safety in these trying times.

Vintage Truck Holiday Gift - Jillibean Soup

Hello blogging friends!

My husband is restoring an old truck...  ok, so maybe not so much restoring right now as the truck is in pieces in our garage! I hope the restoration will start soon. Anyway, when I say this Vintage Truck svg from SVGcuts, I knew I had to make it. The old guy's birthday is coming up after all. But I discovered that a small loaf of banana or pumpkin bread fits in the truck bed perfectly and I thought it would also make a really cool hostess gift. I guess I'll need to make a few more of these.

I used a Jillibean Soup digital cut file available in the Silhouette Store and printed it on vellum for my truck's door signs. Jillibean Soup has lots of cut files you could choose from. I opted for the dairy sign as my father grew up on a dairy farm, but there are pigs, chickens, cow, flower signs as well.

Of course you want a hostess gift to look pretty too so I added a Jillibean Soup shaker tag and huge bow to the bread bag. Here too I used another Jillibean Soup digital cut file and printed it right on the tag. It looks like I stamped it! I filled the shaker with two shades of blue beads. I didn't want to cover up the words though.

I love how this turned out. It even has headlights and taillights!. Be sure to check out SVGcuts because their 3D cut files will astound you.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Teapot Shaped Recipe Mini Album

Hello blogging friends!

My kids are older and now living on their own. They all like to cook, just like their mother. So I often get phone calls or text messages from them asking me for their favorite recipes. For a gift, I thought it would be a fabulous idea to compile some of these recipes into a teapot shaped mini album. I used the gorgeous new This Is Family collection by Jen Hadfield.

The teapot cut file is available in the Silhouette store. It's a Samantha Walker cut file if you are interested in making one too. The original cut file is for a shaped card. Altering it to make it into a mini was easy to do. I created a pretty cluster on the cover using a tag, some die cut ephemera pieces, and absolutely gorgeous rose gold puffy stickers.

The This Is Family collection includes a 12x12 sheet of pattern paper with 6 recipe cards. I cut these apart and grabbed some favorite recipes to transfer to them. Because I wrote on both sides of the recipe cards, I adhered them down using washi tape. This way they can be removed from the album to read the back side. Later they can also be placed in a recipe box is desired.

Isn't that washi tape beautiful! My album is held together using two rings. To reinforce the holes in each page, I added a couple eyelets.

I kept the embellishments to a minimum on the inside pages. Houses were
fussy cut from pattern paper and then scattered throughout.

I also tucked in a few tags in places. It's fun to include a few hidden messages on these.

The back cover was left blank.

Do you know anyone who would love this album? Go ahead and make one for yourself too! Have a great week.
