Hey everyone. I am so excited to share my layouts created with the December Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This amazing kit featured the Vicki Boutin Wrapped In Ribbons collection from American Crafts along with some Echo Park Paper stickers and Simple Stories Foam Phrase Stickers. Every month the kit also includes a sketch and digital cut files from the Cut Shoppe. Here's what I created ...
1. Christmas Fun - This layout features the December cut file Christmas Fun designed by The Cut Shoppe. I decided to go big with my title. Watch my process video to see how I created that sparkling starry background.
2. Let's Be Merry - This layout was inspired by the die cut ephemera piece in the Wrapped in Ribbons collection of a kitten in a gift box. My photo has my cat Spook photobombing this shot of my husband and myself. Watch how this stunning wreath with 3D elements came about.
3. Oh What Fun - I needed to document some photos from our recent trip to visit our daughter in Colorado. This layout was based on the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker.
and the sketch ...
I added some snowflake canvas flair from Scrappin' Happy Studio. These were not included in the kit.
4. Hello Holidays - It was the perfect title to document the start of Christmas baking.
Be sure to check out the special Holiday kits for sale in the shop now!
My Creative Scrapbook puts together 4 kits every month. I used the Main kit for these layouts. Each kit is put together beautifully. There is really something for every kind of scrapbooker! Go check them all out.
The fabulous My Creative Scrapbook June Main Kit features the Simple Stories Pack Your Bags collection along with some Vicki Boutin Where To Next pattern papers and an Echo Park Paper sticker sheet. With it's bright colors, I was inspired to scrap photos from my trip to New York City trip last fall. I added some epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio to help set the scene.
1. Explore The Big Apple - I wanted to create a nighttime skyline for my first layout using some Tattered Angels spray mist.
You can watch the YouTube process video here...
2. Ready For An Adventure - When you visit the Empire State Building with zero visibility you have to buy the photos they take because you don't have any photos except of clouds. I especially liked the King Kong photo it worked well with the viewmaster cut file and the planes.
You can watch the YouTube process video here...
3. Where To Next - I fussy cut a lot of the automobiles, buses, and taxis from one of the Simple Stories pattern papers. I wanted to convey the busy New York City Streets with some of my street photos. The negative strip cut file is one I created myself. The background paper is a 49 & Market Spectrum Sorbet Painted Foundation and is from my stash.
4. Time For A Vacation - For my last layout I used the monthly sketch for inspiration. When we visited the Statue of Liberty I bought these foam crowns from the gift store before boarding the ferry back. They made for some of my favorite pics! I even saved my ticket and added it to this layout.

The beautiful My Creative Scrapbook March Main Kit featured the Simple Stories Fresh Air collection. Even though the winter here in Minnesota was mild, it was refreshing to work with a Spring collection.
Let me show you what I made.
1. Hello Spring - This awesome Hello Spring cut file is included in your kit subscription and is from The Cut Shoppe. The background paper from 49 and Market is from my stash. Watch My YouTube process video for all the details on this fun layout.
2. Sunny Days - I had to scrap these fun playground pics of my grandson from last Fall. He loves to climb on everything!
3. Family - The March Main kit include the Simple Stories Family Page Kit and it worked well with the Simple Stories Fresh Air pattern papers.
4. You Make Me Happy - I haven't created a mixed media layout in a while using my acrylic paints and decided to have some fun and create some drips. Once again My Creative Scrapbook has put together amazing kits for July. Let me show you what I created with the Main kit featuring the Maggie Holmes Woodland Grove collection from American Crafts.
1. Love Grows Here - This layout was created using the July sketch by Laura Whitaker for My Creative Scrapbook. It features my son's girlfriend from her maternity photo shoot. I used the 49th and Market stamp that was included with the kit and created my own mixed media background. Watch my YouTube process video to see how it all came together here.
2. Summer Fun - I had just returned from a visit to my daughter in Colorado and could not wait to scrap these photos from our trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. If you are an animal lover, this zoo is a must! We absolutely loved feeding the giraffes there. I added some canvas flair from Scrappin' Happy Studio on this layout. The cut file is from The Cut Shoppe and was included with a kit subscription.
3. Seek Sunshine - With all the pink and floral papers, I decided my next layout should be girly and decided to scrap a photo of my oldest daughter. The ribbon on this layout is from my stash. The die cut floral pieces included some acetate butterflies and flowers. A bit challenging to use is you prefer white backgrounds but I love how it looks on top of this photo.
4. My Kind of Paradise - This layout was inspired by this pretty cut file from PearTree Cut Files that was included for kit subscribers. I pulled together the natural tones from the papers and a favorite photo of Split Rock Lighthouse along the north shore of Lake Superior. The mixed media background is from one of Vicki Boutin's Mixed Media Paper Pads.
My Creative Scrapbook puts together 4 kits every month. Be sure to check out the other kits and projects the designers created with them.
Did you know PageMaps just turned 17? Seventeen awesome years of amazing sketches!! To help celebrate, I created a half birthday layout of my grandson using a photo of him going home from the hospital and another of him at 6 months in the same car seat. He's gigantic!!
I used papers and embellishments from the Pebbles Peek-a-boo You collection I've been hoarding in my stash and a cute canvas flair from Scrappin' Happy Studio. Here is the sketch ...
Here are some close-ups ...
If you need some inspiration, these sketches will definitely get your creativity flowing. Go check out all the newest sketches for May.
I am so excited to share my layouts created with the May Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This gorgeous kit features the Maggie Holmes Gingham Garden collection and a stamp set from Jen Hadfield both from American Crafts.
I have a YouTube process video for my first layout. Please check it out for details. The adorable canvas flair is from Scrappin' Happy Studio.
I used the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker to create my second layout. This one features my grandson. Those big smiles were all for Ms Rachel on YouTube.
I always think Maggie Holmes collection's work so well for wedding photos and decided to scrap some photos of my own wedding. The Rustic Ring cut file is from JustNick Studios.
My final layout is of my niece Cora at 9 months. I layered up strips of pattern papers like a layer cake and placed my photo on a doily at the top. She is the cutest!
My Creative Scrapbook puts together four different kits each month so there is something for all different styles of scrapbookers. Go check them all out. The kits are amazing and always full of the newest collections available.
I am really excited to share my layouts with the My Creative Scrapbook January Main kit. This gorgeous kit features the Vicki Boutin Print Shop collection from American Crafts, a Vicki Boutin stencil, and cut files from PearTree Cut Files.
1, Hello Sweet Allie is my first layout. This is my first scrapbook layout about her so you may not know that we foster failed on this sweetie last September. She is just over a year old now and couldn't be sweeter! Even the cats love her! When of the things I did on this layout was to combine the kit stencil with a previous stencil from an earlier kit. I love the effect! I used a Stencil Alpha font from JustNick Studios for her name. Epoxy flair is from Scrappin' Happy Studio.
You can get all the details how how to combine stencils by watching my YouTube Video here ...
2. Snapshots - This layout is based on the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker. Because it had strips of photos, I thought it would be cool to frame the photos so that they look like negative strips. I created this cut file myself... not hard, it's just repeating rectangles and squares. I used photos from a trip to Aspen with my husband and daughter Colette who is now living in Colorado. We hike Maroon Bells and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
3. This past August I became a Grandma! I can't tell you how good it feels to see your son taking an active role in my grandson's care. Stinky diapers and all! I had to document the special connection they have. The cut file is from PearTree Cut Files and is included in the kit subscription. Epoxy flair is from Scrappin' Happy Studio.
4. I couldn't leave Mom out of the picture so my final layout is a sweet photo of her and my grandson Jameson.
I have lots of pattern papers, ephemera die cuts, and chipboard stickers left over for many more layouts. These kits are an amazing value! Please check out all the kits from My Creative Scrapbook here... https://linktr.ee/MyCreativeScrapbook. They put together 4 different kits each month so there is something for every scrapbooker.
So sorry I'm late in sharing my September layouts created with the Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This pretty kit featured the Jen Hadfield Live and Let Grow collection from American Crafts. My Creative Scrapbook puts together 4 kits each month so there is something for every type of scrapbooker you are.
1. Love Always was the first layout I created. I wanted to scrap more of the photos from my son and his girlfriend's maternity photo shoot. The "Piece of My Heart" cut file which is included in your kit subscription was perfect to frame my photo and is from The Cut Shoppe. I used my Lindy's Magicals to create my background. Check out my YouTube process video to see how it came together.
2. Gone Fishing was the second layout I created. I was so excited to see the fish pattern paper that is part of the Live and Let Grow collection. After all, I live in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes and then some! We love to go fishing! This is a photo of my sone from years ago. I am using a cut file I purchased from PearTree Cut Files. Check out my YouTube process video to see how I created it. I am also using some epoxy fishing flair from Scrappin Happy Studio .
3. Catch of the Day is another fishing layout with a more recent photo of my son and husband with their humungo northerns. This is another cut file from PearTree Cut Files that I purchased. Here again I used some epoxy fishing flair from Scrappin Happy Studio .
4. I Love You This Much was my final layout, I am scrapping photos of myself and a grand furbaby that belongs to my daughter. I’m documenting the first time I met my daughter’s new rescue dog Teddy. I was preparing to sleep on her couch when Teddy decided I needed company. The look on his face when my daughter told him he couldn’t sleep on top of me was priceless. Poor Teddy. The cut file is from The Cut Shoppe and is included with your kit subscription. I added some @lovemytapes washi tape to my die-cut title and ran it through my Silhouette Cameo a second time.
So here is one of the reasons I am late posting my layouts ... new gransdson Jameson arrived at the end of August.
And the other reason ... We foster failed with our latest rescue dog Allie. She is not quite a year old and so sweet and gentle.
Can you believe it's October already ... and I missed posting my September PageMaps layout! I love the instant inspiration I get when looking at Becky's sketches. This month I decided I needed to scrap some photos of my son and his girlfriend's maternity photo shoot. I have so many photos! When scrapping lots of photos, I love using 2 page layouts... you can get more photos scrapped on the 2 page spread. Here is the awesome sketch Becky sent me...
Because the photo shoot was outside, I used the Vicki Boutin Fernwood collection along with some Wildflower and Honey. The canvas flair is from Scrappin Happy Studio.

Have you seen the new sketches over at PageMaps for March? They are fabulous for jump starting a layout. Here is the sketch I chose.
I stuck to the sketch pretty close, but I moved my journaling and added a 3rd photo in place of it. I decided to scrap photos from my trip to London with my daughter. After touring London Bridge, we found a pub tucked under the bridge that served the best fish and chips. Of course we had to have a pint of beer to go with it. Such a great experience!
Since fish & chips are often served on newspaper (or paper made to look like newspaper now), I had this idea to use newsprint on my layout. The sad thing is after cleaning out my scrapbook room, I couldn't find any so I decided to make my own. This allowed me to add the location and a date in the newspaper headline.
That great cut file is from PearTree Cut files. I used the Basic Grey Serenade collection that I found in my stash while looking for newsprint.
I added some England embellishments from Scrappin Happy Studio (phone booth epoxy flair), Jolee dimensional stickers, and some phrase stickers from Simple Stories.
I love how this turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by. ~Marcia
