Hello blogging friends. I have some Quick Quotes Club Q inspiration to share. I love it when I can play with the Club Q kits! This month's Club Q was spectacular. When I first saw the kits I thought; That would be great with a heritage photo. I went searching through my photos and found this. My Mom gave me this photo a few years ago. It is the only photo I have of her as a little girl. My Grandmother must have taken the photo. I wish she was in the picture too. I used primarily the 2 page layout kit and added a few papers from the other layout kit to come up with this ....
The kit has these pretty die cut flowers and pearls. I wanted to add a touch of lace to give it a more vintage feel. These lace flowers did the trick. I actually took the bottom piece of the flower off as I thought they were too bulky and used it with the flowers in the kit. I love how my flower cluster turned out...
Of course everyone wants to know who is who. I printed the details using my computer and a word doc. Print first on plain paper until you get it the size you want. Then adhere the pattern paper over the text. Hold it up to a light to make sure its positioned correctly. Then run it through your printer again.
Quick Quotes Supplies:
November Club Q
Powderpuff ink in Mocha Mama
Other Supplies:
My Minds Eye Alphas
Maya Road vintage flowers
Want2Scrap bling
What are you scrapping with your Club Q?

Living a Dream - Quick Quotes
Hello blogging friends. I have a fabulous Quick Quotes layout to share with you using the new Back to Basics collection. This collection is so versatile you could use it for almost anything. I am also using some chipboard pieces from older Club Q kits as well as some other goodies from my stash.
I am scrapping my son's girlfriend, who interned this summer in Missouri at the World Bird Sanctuary. She learned how to care for raptures and did some educational outreach, teaching others about these fabulous birds. I love these photos, they really convey her confidence and love for what she does. That smile says, "Yeah, I got this!"
Here are some close ups. Designers Note: The circles were stamped with Java Powderpuff Chalk ink using things like the cap to my glue bottle and a sponge dauber turned upside down.
I used a vellum quote from the Babies/ Kids/ Family Itty Bitty Vellum Quotes Box Set and mounted it on the same paper I used for my background. The quote was perfect. She's not my kid, but kudos to her Mom and Dad for letting her go hundreds of miles away and supporting her while she was there. (She was not paid for her internship or provided meals)
I used this fabulous sketch by Karan Gerber for Sketchabilites

School Year Desk Calendar - Quick Quote Club Q
Hello blogging friends. School is back in session and Quick Quotes has an amazing September Club Q. I get so excited when I get my box in the mail. I was thrilled with the Altered Kit this month. It's an amazing desktop school year calendar. I plan on keeping this beauty on my computer desk. The yellow, black and grey color combination with the gorgeous patterns gives it sophisticated elegance.
The kit comes with lots of die cuts for you to use for embellishing your pages. You can add some of your own touches too, like I did on my cover. I ran the calendar pages through my printer. I played with the numbers in a word doc grid until I got it just right.
Here are a few of the inside pages. I wanted note paper in my calendar, but you could easily use photos instead. Again, I added a few of my own die cuts. I couldn't resist using a spider web for October :) The album has some gorgeous natural pages, you won't want to cover them all up. I left pages with some bare spots.
In the back, There is a Year at a Glance Calendar page. I combined the Altered Kit Kicker Project on the back cover. I wanted a tear off note pad. I am so happy with how this turned out!
Quick Quotes Supplies:
Club Q - Altered Kit
Powderpuff chalk ink in Biscotti, and Midnight Confessions
Other supplies:
Silhouette
Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die
Maya Road Transparency
Typewriter Wood Veneer - Studio Calico HeyDay
Doodlebug Stickers
Tombow Adhesive
You have got to check out the other Club Q kits this month. They are fabulous.
Have a great week!
