Did you know PageMaps just turned 17? Seventeen awesome years of amazing sketches!! To help celebrate, I created a half birthday layout of my grandson using a photo of him going home from the hospital and another of him at 6 months in the same car seat. He's gigantic!!
I used papers and embellishments from the Pebbles Peek-a-boo You collection I've been hoarding in my stash and a cute canvas flair from Scrappin' Happy Studio. Here is the sketch ...
Here are some close-ups ...

I have another layout to share that I created with my March Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook featuring the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studios Spring Vibes collection. I am still working my way through the maternity photos I took of my son and his girlfriend. They were expecting a boy, thus the blue background.
My layout is based on the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker for My Creative Scrapbook.
You can see detailed photos and here all about my process by watching my YouTube video.
I have some awesome layouts to share with you that I created with the fabulous February Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook featuring the Simple Stories Life Captured collection with some Vicki Boutin Print Shop papers and puffy title stickers.
1. Love You More - This layout was inspired by this amazing cut file from PearTree Cut Files that is included with your kit subscription. I decided to use the hearts to frame my photos of my grandson Jameson at 2 months. Watch my YouTube video to see how this came together.
2. New Day, New Month, New Year, New Me - Another cut file from PearTree Cut files that is included in this kit inspired my next layout New Day, New Month, New Year, New Me. With 2023 resolutions being made, this cut file is spot on. At least for me it was as I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (underactive thyroid) and pre-diabetes. It's time for some self love as I am struggling with just staying awake some days. Watch my YouTube video to see how this came together.
3. The Small Things - I used a sketch from PageMaps for this next layout documenting the newest family member, my great niece Ella Jo. The Vicki Boutin butterfly stencil I used here is included in the kit.
4. Back 2 School - With the Office/ School ephemera in the Simple Stories Life Captured collection I decided to pull out an old first day of school photo and finally scrap it. I used the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker for My Creative Scrapbook.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to checkout all the kits from My Creative Scrapbook. There is sure to be something for everyone.
I am really excited to share my layouts with the My Creative Scrapbook January Main kit. This gorgeous kit features the Vicki Boutin Print Shop collection from American Crafts, a Vicki Boutin stencil, and cut files from PearTree Cut Files.
1, Hello Sweet Allie is my first layout. This is my first scrapbook layout about her so you may not know that we foster failed on this sweetie last September. She is just over a year old now and couldn't be sweeter! Even the cats love her! When of the things I did on this layout was to combine the kit stencil with a previous stencil from an earlier kit. I love the effect! I used a Stencil Alpha font from JustNick Studios for her name. Epoxy flair is from Scrappin' Happy Studio.
You can get all the details how how to combine stencils by watching my YouTube Video here ...
2. Snapshots - This layout is based on the monthly sketch by Laura Whitaker. Because it had strips of photos, I thought it would be cool to frame the photos so that they look like negative strips. I created this cut file myself... not hard, it's just repeating rectangles and squares. I used photos from a trip to Aspen with my husband and daughter Colette who is now living in Colorado. We hike Maroon Bells and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
3. This past August I became a Grandma! I can't tell you how good it feels to see your son taking an active role in my grandson's care. Stinky diapers and all! I had to document the special connection they have. The cut file is from PearTree Cut Files and is included in the kit subscription. Epoxy flair is from Scrappin' Happy Studio.
4. I couldn't leave Mom out of the picture so my final layout is a sweet photo of her and my grandson Jameson.
I have lots of pattern papers, ephemera die cuts, and chipboard stickers left over for many more layouts. These kits are an amazing value! Please check out all the kits from My Creative Scrapbook here... https://linktr.ee/MyCreativeScrapbook. They put together 4 different kits each month so there is something for every scrapbooker.
I wanted to make something to embellish the packaging of a baby shower gift for my son and girlfriend and found this adorable Shaker Baby Rattle (SVG, Silhouette). Who could resist shaking this gift now!
Layers of the rattle are built up so that you can insert chunkier objects. I placed a rocking horse button and small sequin stars inside mine. This adorable button had a shank fastener on the back of the button that I just snipped off.

I made a bunch of layouts with the March My Creative Scrapbook Main kit and can't wait to share with you. This kit featured the Pink Paislee Bloom Street collection and exclusive cut files from Neat and Crafty Cutz. It's a beautiful kit! Here is the first layout I made....
This is my niece Esme, the latest addition to our family! She is the cutest with her big brown eyes! I used one of the exclusive cut files to create a cluster of flowers under my photo. I added more flower ephemera pieces on top.
I added a sticker to the right of my photo that says Showered With Love. That pretty much sums it up, spoilt by everybody.
I love that gorgeous butterfly too. Do you notice my watercolor background? I thought I would try some Lindy's Magicals. So fun to try.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend. If your sick, stay home and scrap!
I have a birthday layout to share that I created with the festive new Pebbles Happy Cake Day collection. We all have birthdays (although some of us have stopped counting) so this collection is a must! I used it here to document my son's first birthday celebration.
The inspiration for my design started with the 2x2 grid pattern paper. I cut the paper apart, choosing the squares I wanted for a boy's layout. Then I arranged 9 squares in a grid on a piece of pattern paper. To reinforce the square design, I printed my photos as squares too and even machine stitched squares on my background and around some of the 2x2 square pattern paper pieces.
This collection has lots of ephemera die cuts. One of my favorites is this adorable sloth.
The birthday phrase stickers are another favorite. They are perfect for scrapbook layout titles. I layered a cupcake die cut over an adorable llama sticker here to draw attention to the title. To add a little dimension, this collection has adorable word bubble puffy stickers as well as puffy dot stickers. They add such a fun element!
I am celebrating World Cardmaking Day today with some adorable cards I created with the new Pebbles Peek-A-Boo You collection. This collection is perfect for baby boys and girls.
Cardmaking is easy when you can cut journal cards from pattern paper as I did here. The card sentiment is already there for you so you don't need stamps either. This first card uses just one pattern paper for the background. I used some metal dies to give this stork journal card a unique shape as well as for the doily I layered underneath. A pretty bow and some washi tape add a few more delicate details.
Cardmaking doesn't need to be hard. For this card I picked two pattern papers that coordinated well together to create this card background and placed a journal card on top. I added a delicate butterfly to accent the card sentiment.
How about three pattern papers... I used two for the background and added a third for the scallop punched border. Some ribbon, butterflies, and sprigs of leaves are perfect for baby girl cards.
Our theme this week over on the Pebbles blog has been party invites. Since I am helping to plan a baby shower for my nephew and his new wife who are expecting a girl, I decided to go with a baby shower theme. The Pebbles Loves Me collection was perfect with all those pretty pink pattern papers and cute die cut ephemera pieces and stickers. I found this cute umbrella bag digital cut file at SVGcuts and could not wait to make these. They are going to look so fabulous on tables at the baby shower! I could fill them with snacks. They would also be awesome as small gift bags.
Each umbrella is created from two different pattern papers. They are not full umbrellas, rather the back is flat. This left space for me to stamp "It's A Girl!" and then embellish with die cuts and stickers. Each one is different.
There are adorable sloths adorning the handles of each umbrella as well as bows.
Don't pack your Loves Me collection away just yet ... Valentines Day is over, but this collection can do double duty for baby girls, Easter, Mother's Day and so much more!
I am back today with an adorable Simple StoriesOh, Babylayout for you. Come on, admit it ... we all take tons of photos of babies! They grow so fast over a short period of time and we want to remember every moment. What better way to document those photos then with the Oh, Baby collection. With it's gender neutral tones it's perfect for baby boys as well as baby girls. I couldn't resist scrapping this photo of my cute little nephew...
I printed my photo in a sepia tone to coordinate with the brown tones in the papers. Because I absolutely loved every piece of pattern paper in this collection, I wanted to use as much of it as possible on this layout. I did that by cutting banner strips and arranging them along the top of my layout. Then I matted my photo with some blue pattern paper and used foam adhesive to give it some dimension.
So many cute little adorable animals and other baby die cuts and stickers make embellishments choices a breeze.
At the bottom of my layout I arranged stickers, die cuts, and a fabulous chipboard title.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out the adorable Oh, Baby collection ... and did you know there is also an Oh, Baby Expecting and an Oh, Baby Adoption too!
I have a sweet layout to share using one of the newest cut files in the JustNick Studio store. When I saw the gorgeous new Butterfly Background 2 digital cut file I could not wait to use it. I love the delicate butterflies. This cut file is perfect for Spring photos, but I thought it would also be lovely with a photo of my adventurous daughter. One of the things I learned early on in trying to photograph children was that I had to keep them in one place long enough to snap a few photos. I used props like this ladder. The adventurous ones didn't think twice about climbing up it. My daughter Colette has not lost her sense of adventure yet, 25 years later. I am using the Cocoa Vanilla Studios Wild At Heart collection.
Here is a better look at those amazing butterflies...
To form my title, I combine the Hey speech bubble from the Girl Power digital cut file with a rubber charm with the word Gorgeous. This was cut pretty small. If you are having difficulties cutting items with your electronic machine try cutting it twice. I find I can get a better cut with a so so blade if I cut it twice.
Here are the cut files I used ...
