All Occasion Cards with Pebbles Lovely Moments

Hello blogging friends!

I am back today with an all occasion card idea for you using the beautiful Pebbles Lovely Moments collection. This time of year I need birthday cards, sympathy cards, get well cards, graduation cards, shower cards, and wedding cards. This card design could be used for all of these occasions. Just change out the sentiment.

The folded flower on these cards has a quilted look that caught my eye. Aren't they gorgeous! This is a card you can make with a circle punch or circle cutter.

Let me show you how you can make one too....

Step 1. Punch or cut 8 - 2" circles and 1 - 3" circle. You will see both sides of the scrapbook paper, so choose a paper where the two sides coordinate well together. I prefer to use a smaller floral print as well. This allows you to see the flowers after folding.

Step 2. Fold each of the 2" circles in half, then in half again.

Step 3. Fold just the top layer of paper down. Turn over and repeat on the other side. It should look like this...

Step 4. Unfold the circles except for the last fold.

Step 5. With the folded side face down (see green circle above), take the folded sides and bring to the middle crease. It should look like this. Repeat for all 8 circles.

Step 6. Apply some glue to the middle of your 3" circle. Start laying your folded circle pieces down leaving a slight gap between.

If you want a very flat flower, press in a book for a while. I like a little dimension though, so I left my flower as is. Add a button or a brad in the center of your flower. Now you can add to a card base along with a sentiment. Make your own card base using pattern papers or use a ready made card from the Lovely Moments card box.

I love how these turned out. They are so pretty with the Lovely Moments pattern papers. I hope you give this a try yourself.

Hey, Hello Cards - Pebbles

Hello blogging friends!

I've been playing with the beautiful new Pebbles Hey, Hello collection from Jen Hadfield. This collection is a cardmakers dream! So many elements that can be layered to make gorgeous cards for any occasion; Birthday, Sympathy, Thank You, Thinking of You, and so much more. The first cards I created were birthday cards. I always need birthday cards. I bet you do too. Check these out...

This little hedgehog is the cutest! He is all ready to celebrate with you!! The Hey, Hello collection has a sheet of 12x12 pattern paper full of tags like this one. They are excellent for cardmaking layered over a couple other pieces of pattern paper.

There is also a sheet of 12x12 pattern paper with 3x4 journal cards perfect for cardmaking as well. This card features an adorable sloth.

Then I made a sympathy and a thank you card using beautiful florals and black pattern paper for striking contrast.

My sympathy card is also made from a 3x4 journal card. I added some florals for dimension, a dainty bow, and a few nuvo drops for interest.

There is another 12x12 sheet of pattern paper with 2x2 squares, giving you another option for layering on cards.

This last one might be my favorite. I tucked in some fussy cut florals and used lots of layers. Another bow and nuvo drops add interest. My tip for cardmaking: Use some foam dots to help separate the layers like I did here.

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you are a cardmaker, this is one collection you NEED!

New Dies at Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends. Did you see all the new Top Dog Dies released last week? Project Life scrappers take note... there are some awesome dies for you too! I used one of the new pocket page dies to create this sympathy card.

I love the faux stitching on the edge of the die, The sentiment is from the Altenew Ori Kami set and the papers were from the January Clique Kit featuring Amy Tangerine's Stitched collection. Clique Kits has a monthly challenge that anyone can enter. You don't need to be a subscriber to play along. I would love to see more of you play along!

I also used the new Top Dog Dies Pretty Petals 3 and the new Top Dog Dies Leaves dies. These are awesome for layering to make such realistic looking flowers. Here is a closer look at those pretty flowers...

Are you as excited as me about these fabulous new dies? Thanks for stopping by!

On Trend cards - Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends. I have a couple more cards to share with you from the Clique Kits Spring card kit. This kit is so fabulous!! I love this Altenew Stamp set and these gorgeous papers from the My Mind's Eye On Trend collection. I combined the kit with some of my favorite Top Dog Dies and came up with these pretties....

I stamped Celebrate on vellum using some VersaMark ink and then embossed it with some gold embossing powder. I cut the vellum slightly smaller than my card front and used my Top Dog Dies Dotted Border Die to get the lovely edge on the bottom. This die set is one of my most used! Can you blame me, it adds great interest to my card. The ribbon at the top is all I need to attach the vellum to the card front. I love that the vellum softens the pattern and really let's that title shine.

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card too. My husband's aunt passed away last week. This beautiful Top Dog Dies Cross Die works wonderfully on a sympathy card.

To add some interest to the Top Dog Dies Vintage A2 Mat Die. I stamped an image on the front with some VersaMark ink. See the butterflies and flowers?

With Sympathy + Mason Jar Decor - Anna Griffin and Xyron

Hello blogging friends! Sometimes paper is so beautiful you are afraid to cut into it. I could have wallpapered my scrapbook room walls with the gorgeous papers I received from Anna Griffin; beautiful flocked papers with fabulous patterns, gorgeous layered flowers and sentiment quotes. When you combine Xyron and Anna Griffin you get incredibly beautiful projects. Let me show you what I created ...

I found a tri-fold card in the Silhouette store with an ornate window on the front. It is basically three layers. With the dimesional flowers from Anna Griffin, I thought the layered panels would be the perfect way to set the flowers off.

Those pretty papers are just so gorgeous together. :)

For my second project, I created a mason jar for my daughter's upcoming wedding....

I used the cut out parts of my card for my jar. Added a Spellbinders fancy label with some Want 2 Scrap bling and more of those gorgeous dimensional flowers. Do you see the twine wrapped around the jar? Here is how I did that..

I cut a strip of kraft cardstock and ran it through my 1" sticker maker. Then I just layered my twine on top. To make sure it would all stay stuck together, I applied a light coat of decoupage over the top of the twine. When it was dry I ran it through my sticker maker again.

Then I just wrapped the twine cardstock around my jar. The Mr & Mrs label covered up my seam. I found some high tack double stick tape worked best for adhering my label to the jar. I love how it turned out...

One more month til the wedding!! So many things to do yet. At least I have a dress to wear now though.

Supplies Used:
Xyron: 1.5" Sticker Maker, 9" Creative Station,  Double-Sided High Tack 1/2" Tape

Hold Tight To Your Memories - Quick Quotes Inspiration

Hello Quick Quotes friends! Wahooo it's Friday.
Marcia here to host the blog today. I have another card to share that I made with the 6x6 Cracklin Rose paper pad. I wanted to try out some new shabby techniques and thought a card would be a better means of experimenting versus a layout. This one is a sympathy card and will soon be on its way to a dear aunt unfortunately. I like having an extra sympathy card on hand just in case so maybe I'll have to make a few more. The Cracklin Rose papers were perfect, with their muted colors.
The quote "Hold tight to your Memories" is on a journal spot in the Cracklin Rose 6x6 paper pad. Perfect for my sympathy card :)

Quick Quotes Father's Day Inspiration

Marcia here today to host the Quick Quotes blog. I am suppose to share some Father's Day inspiration with you, but I have been recently reminded that not all of us have our Fathers anymore. And for a friend of mine whose 14 year old son committed suicide, some people are no longer Fathers. I made this project with my friend in mind (Thanks Erin (Homemade Cards by Erin) for inspiring me with your wine tag)   ...
Our focus in June is on vellum, so I used vellum to create the rolled flowers, inking the edges with Powderpuff ink. I also used vellum to create my little butterflies which are also inked. The vellum really gives them a delicate look. The larger butterfly is a Quick Quotes chipboard piece finished with Powderpuff ink as well. Here is another view from the top...

Butterflies - Bag o'Chips

Is there someone you know who could use a friend to talk to, or anyone you want to share some good memories and a bottle of wine with? Wishing all of you a very Happy Father's Day!!
