Gift Boxes with Pebbles Hey, Hello

Hello blogging friends!

With most people around the world right now sheltering in place to help reduce the spread of coronavirus, no birthday parties or wedding receptions or baby showers or celebrations of any kind involving groups of people are happening. I want to make sure some special people in my life still feel loved even if we cannot be together for special events. My Mother-in-law just turned 80 and I couldn't even give her a hug! I decided to make some little gift boxes to deliver to some special people with some goodies inside. I used two coordinating sheets of 12x12 of pattern papers from the beautiful Hey, Hello collection and decorated my boxes with tags that can be cut from pattern paper. Boxes are easy to make. I used a cut file from SVGcuts , but they can also be made without using a cutting machine.

The Hey, Hello collection is perfect for special occasions of all kinds, like birthdays.

There is plenty of room inside for cupcakes, donuts, or cookies.

Layer up a couple tags and a ribbon on the top to make your box so festive looking.

This next gift box could be used for a birthday as well, but I'm giving it to a girl who will be graduating from high school. Commencements have been canceled. I can put candy, gift cards, or cash inside.

I added a tag cut from pattern paper to the top along with a die cut phrase ephemera piece and some ribbon.

But don't think this collection is just for kids... This beautiful floral box went to my Mother-in-law. It would be perfect for Mother's Day too. There are lots of other beautiful floral papers that would make lovely gift boxes.

I put her favorite chocolates inside. Once again I adorned my box with ribbon, a tag, die cut ephemera, and cut paper leaves.

Do you have anyone special you can't be with right now? Why not create a special gift box for them. You don't need a special occasion to tell someone your thinking of them.

Tis The Season - Pebbles and Scrapbook.com

Hello blogging friends!

I can't believe its December already! I've been dying to scrap a layout with the Pebbles Merry Little Christmas collection. But you don't need to use it just for Christmas pics. It works so well with your winter photos too. My favorite pattern paper is the snowy background with the kids playing in the snow. It's perfect for this winter photo of my daughter with her great pyrenees dog.

That fabulous cut file I used for my title is available at Scrapbook.com as part of a cut file bundle. I love it backed with the pretty pattern papers from the Merry Little Christmas collection. It looks great on my pink mixed media background and accented with a snowflake and mittens dangling from a bow.

If you love making Christmas cards, you need to check out the Merry Little Christmas tag pack. I love the winter scene on this Happy Holidays tag. I even discovered that I could create a dimensional scene on the tag using the sticker pack.

So many things to love in this collection!

I even have a new YouTube process video! I hope you will check it out...

Back to School Teacher Gift Box - Maya Road

Hello blogging friends!

I am so excited to be guest designing for Maya Road today! They sent me so many awesome products to work with. When I saw the Work It Office Die Bundle, I thought how perfect it would be to create a Teacher gift. I combined it with an Antique Wood Ruler, a Ken Oliver Vintage Typewriter Charm, and Ken Oliver Waxed Hemp in Fern Green and created this apple gift box (from SVGcuts)...

This apple box opens up and you can place candy and/or a gift card inside.

I really love these eye glasses in the die set, which also includes the notebook paper, the star, the check mark, and the pencil. A little vellum behind the eyeglasses makes them look more realistic. I attached the typewriter charm to the green waxed hemp and tied a bow ... isn't it lovely!

Here is one more look of the apple gift box ...

Holiday Gift Tags - Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends!

With Halloween just barely behind me now I can start talking about Christmas, right? I am sharing some holiday gift tags today that I created with the new Winter dies from Top Dog Dies. This year I am going to be prepared, lol. Christmas cards are going out instead of my Happy New Years cards and these lovely tags are going to adorn a present for someone special. Are you one of those people who are done doing their shopping by Thanksgiving? or are you like me and are up wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve?

These were super easy to make. I used a ready made chipboard tag. I just had to stamp the "To:" and "From:" and add my die-cuts.

I used the Top Dog Dies Vintage Alphabet set to create these letters for my "Joy" Penguin tag.

Supplies:
Top Dog Dies Cardinal die set
Top Dog Dies Penguin die set
Top Dog Dies Vintage Alphabet die set
Elles Studio Stamp

Spread the Love - Imaginisce Heartland Farm

Hello blogging friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Are you picking strawberries yet in your neck of the woods? It's still too early here in Minnesota. I LOVE to pick berries in the Summer; strawberries in June, raspberries in July, and blueberries in August. Besides eating the berries fresh, I can jelly for my family to eat all year long. Of course, I share what I make too, so I thought I could package my jars up with the new Imaginisce Heartland Farm collection for gifting. I covered the lids with fabric and added a decorative tag to each jar.

These jars have some of my strawberry and blueberry jelly. No blueberry die cuts though in the Heartland Farm collection so I used the cherry instead.

The chipboard tags needed to be covered with pattern paper first. After adhering the paper to the tag, I used the D-Stress tool to clean up the edges and hole at the top of the tag. I love this tool for when I make chipboard mini albums too.

Once the tags were covered with pattern paper I embellished with a stamped mason jar and some die cuts.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers, Die Cuts, Acrylic Stamp (Heartland Farm), D-Stress tool, Foam Tape

Silver and Gold - Quick Quotes Tags

Hello Quick Quotes friends.  I have a pair of gorgeous tags to share with you. These are really going to make a statement on some of my holiday gifts. The first tag is accented in gold; gold ribbon, gold jingle bell, and gold touches on the flowers and edges of the tag ....

This Santa came from a vellum quote. Isn't he fabulous! I created some handmade flowers to embellish the tag and used my Powderpuff inks and some Inca Gold rub to accent them. Getting the paper wet helps you to mold them into shape. The red paper is actually packaging from a vellum quote. It was too pretty to toss out. I love how they turned out...

The second tag was created with papers from last years Club Q. This one is accented in silver; silver ribbon, silver sequins, and silver paper.

I cut the skates with my Silhouette, then laced them up with DMC floss. Some stamped snowflakes and glitter give it some sparkle. I even put some glitter on the skate's blades so it looks like ice.

Quick Quotes Supplies:
Magic of Christmas (Club Q papers)
Dear Santa vellum
Holidays Quotes bundle
Red music note paper from packaging of Clock vellum
Powderpuff chalk ink kin Tahiti, Biscotti, and Coal Miner

Other Supplies:
White, black, silver cardstock
Silhouette
DMC floss
silver ribbon - Really Reasonable Ribbon
Gold metallic ribbon
Sequins - Studio Calico
gold brads
jingle bells
coarse glitter
Inca Gold Rub
Glue Dots vellum adhesive

I am linking up at Really Reasonable Ribbon for their fun Bingo Challenge. Santa tag - Polka dots, Flower, Glitter and the Skate tag - Glitter, Image-Text, White.

There is plenty of time still for you to make some Holiday tags too. Have a great day!
