Champagne Brunch Bridal Shower - Stash Bash YouTube Hop

Hello blogging friends!

Marcia here today with my second Stash Bash YouTube process video in our monthly series. Each month some of my scrappy friends and I choose one element in our stash and create scrapbook layout focusing on that item. This month it was gemstones, enamel dots, sequins ... I went with gemstones. I have been wanting to scrap my daughter's bridal shower pics for a while now. I really debated whether to scrap these photos at all since my daughter is now divorced. But I figured her ex is not in the photos, and it was a really fun day with family and friends. We had a champagne brunch with a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme ... so much fun. We asked guests to come dressed as Audrey Hepburn ... elegant black dresses with pearls and hats. I intend to turn this layout into a 2 pager I think. I used the gorgeous Metropolitan Girl collection from Carta Bella paper

What do you think of that chandelier?  I used my Imaginisce i-rock and rhinestones to add bling. I love the way it turned out.

There is more bling at the bottom ... this gorgeous swirl from Want 2 Scrap.

I adore the vintage feel to this collection. It was perfect for the Breakfast at Tiffany's theme.

I used a silver metallic thread to add some stitching here. I love mixing fonts for my titles.

and my beautiful girl...

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Here is the YouTube video if you are interested in watching,,,

The Stash Bash hop order can be found in the description of this layout on YouTube.

JOY - Home Decor Frame

Hello blogging friends!
I recently went to a neighbor's Christmas party and was amazed by all her beautiful Christmas decorations. I counted 23 trees, 7 of which were full size. There was a tree in every room in her house.... yes even the bathrooms. In her living room, she had a framed letter that she wrote to Santa herself circa 1960. Next to it was a framed silhouette portrait of herself when she was about that age. What a neat idea! When I returned home, I looked around at my walls and thought, I need to step up my game here. I needed a framed Christmas print to hang on my wall instead of the usual painting. Not having Santa letters or Silhouettes here is what I came up with using some fabulous products from Clearsnap, my Xyron adhesives, and Imaginisce papers...

The striped paper is from the Imaginisce Happy Traveler collection. I cut the letters out on a diagonal so it would look more like candy cane stripes. Instead of an "O", I decided to create a 3D Star. I wrapped the star with twine and hung a Christmas tag from it to make it more festive. You can see I used my i-Rock to add some red gemstones to the tag. I love how it turned out.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers (Happy Traveler), Die Cut (Christmas Cheer), i-Rock, Red gemstones
American Crafts: Cardstock
Clearsnap:  Luxe Metallics Cats Eye Pigment Ink Pads (I used Gold Brocade)
Clearsnap Rollagraph Stamp Wheel with Crackle Background
Silhouette Cameo
Jingle Bell
twine

Let me show you how I did it.

Step 1.  The frame I had is a distressed window frame, It had no back, just the glass. I wanted my "JOY" to pop. Not blend into the wall, so I lined the glass with Kraft paper. If you need something bigger than a 12"x12", check out the office supply store. They sell rolls of Kraft paper in the packaging supplies.

Step 2.  I cut the "J" and "Y" out with my Silhouette Cameo and ran the letters through my Xyron 9" Creative Station.

Step 3. I cut the Star out with my Silhouette Cameo. Using the Clearsnap Rollagraph Stamp with the Crackle Background and my Clearsnap Gold Brocade ink, I ink the star panels. There are ink pads that will fit inside the handle, but I just dabbed on the ink and rolled it across my paper.

Step 4.  After running the star panel pieces through my Xyron 9" Creative Station, I adhered them to the Star base.

Step 5. Embellish the star any way you like. I wrapped some twine around mine and attached a festive Christmas tag.

Step 6. Adhere the "J" and the "Y" in the frame, then using some Xyron Double-Sided High Tack Tape on the back of the star, adhere it to the frame as well.

I love how it turned out!  My husband says we are not going to my neighbor's Christmas party's anymore, lol. He is such a Scrooge!

Christmas Cards with Bling - Imaginisce

Hello blogging friends!

I love this time of year! Every day that I get a Christmas card in the mail just puts a smile on my face. It's even better if there is a letter and some pictures. I don't get too see some of my extended family very often. The graduation parties, weddings and funerals are few and far between. That's why I like to make sure they all get a card and a letter from our family. I know they enjoy receiving my Christmas cards just as much. I used some red and green papers from the Happy Traveler collection to create these....

I love adding ribbon to my cards, that's why the i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter is one of my favorite tools. It cuts and seals the edge of the ribbon at the same time. No more frayed edges!

To make my simple cards even more special I used my i-Rock to add some bling. It's easy to create swirls or star shapes when using the stencils.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers (Happy Traveler), i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter, i-Rock, assorted Crystals
American Crafts: Cardstock
Stamps: Hero Arts and Inkadinkado
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink in Black Soot

Give Thanks Cards - Imaginisce

Hello blogging friends! How many of you were making cards this past weekend for World Card Making Day 2015?

I used the awesome Imaginisce Give Thanks collection to create a couple Thank You cards. I love sending a thank you card to friends or family even when they aren't expecting one. All too often we take people for granted. This is a good time of the year to reach out and let our loved ones know how much they mean to us.

Each collection from Imaginisce has coordinating stamps, and the Give Thanks collection has some truly adorable ones. I couldn't resist practicing my coloring skills on the fox and the squirrel. I am a beginner when it comes to coloring stamped images and I still need lots of practice, LOTS!, lol. Coloring is relaxing and fun. Here are my cards ...

To add some pizzazz to my cards I used my i-Rock to adhere some gold metallic gems. Blinging up a card gives it instant elegance.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers, Phrase Stickers, Wood Buttons (Give Thanks), i-Rock, metallic gems
American Crafts: Cardstock

Autumn Blessings Fall Wreath Decor - Imaginisce and Top Dog Dies

Hello blogging friends!

It's definitely feeling like Fall in Minnesota already! The weather is cooler and I've had a hankering to do some Fall decorating. I decided my front door needed a new wreath. I love the look of burlap wreaths and decided to give it a go and make one myself, This was much easier than I anticipated. There are some great YouTube videos out there to show you how. This one I made took a couple of hours. Then I created a Fall banner with my Top Dog Dies the new Imaginisce Give Thanks collection to adorn my wreath.

The banner was created with my Top Dog Dies Vintage A2 Mat die folded over a length of hemp twine. Then embellished with the Top Dog Dies Vintage Alphabet, Heart Mini Album Finishers, the new Pocket Page Fall die set, and embellishments from the Give Thanks collection. I love all the coordinating embellishments for this collection; the dimensional stickers, phrase stickers, puffy stickers, enamel dots, die cuts, and wood buttons.

I used my i-Rock gem setting tool to adhere some metallic studs to my banner. I love the polished look the i-Rock gives any project.

Some ribbon and fall foliage picks finish it off. I love crafting with ribbon. The i-Magicut Ribbon cutter is one of my favorite tools. It cuts and seals the edge of the ribbon all at the same time. Here is a tip to get a notched edge like I did for my wreath. Fold your ribbon in half before inserting into the cutter, angling the ribbon so the folded edge has more to cut away.

Use a piece of hemp twine to tie the ribbon and fall picks onto the wreath.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers, Die Cuts, Phrase Stickers, Dimensional Stickers, i-Rock, metallic studs, i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter, Foam Tape
American Crafts: Cardstock

Happy Traveler Cards - Imaginisce

Hello blogging friends!

Aren't you just loving the Happy Traveler collection! The bright colors and patterns are fabulous. I LOVE those bicycles and scooters and the hot air balloons. They could take me to some happy places for sure. I thought it would be fun to make a couple cards I could stash some tickets in for my hubby as a way of surprising him about a trip. We have been talking about escaping to Hawaii in the winter for a week. This idea would work for my kids as well for maybe a gas card. These cards are a little different as they are tabbed cards. Only the center of the card opens. Perfect for hiding away gift cards, gas cards, tickets ...

I used my I-Rock to add some hardware on my bicycle and make it look more realistic. I also added a metallic heart inside my hot air balloon card. The I-Rock is super easy to use to add some sparkle to any project.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers, Puffy Stickers (Happy Traveler), i-Rock, metallic rocks, heart metallics
American Crafts: Cardstock
Silhouette Cameo and cut files
Studio Calico Stamp

School Treat Bags - Imaginisce and a Top Dog Dies Tutorial

Hello blogging friends.

It seems like the kids just got out of school and already it's time to think about them going back. Sometimes a little note from Mom or a snack presented in a fun way lets them know that they are loved even if you aren't there for lunch anymore. I created a couple different school treat bags to give you some ideas using the Imaginisce Family Fun papers. With 'School is Cool' and 'School Rocks', I hope to convey going back to school in a positive way.

Let me show you how.

You will need...
Cardstock, Pattern Paper, Top Dog Dies (Signature Antique, Antique Mat, Typewriter upper case, lower case, and Numbers & Symbols, Dinosaur Trio, Fish, and Pennant Banner), googly eyes, adhesive, Score-Pal, Die Cut Machine, treat bags, candy or crackers.

Step 1.  I cut the blue cardstock 6" x 5" and scored at 2.5" on the 5" side.

Step 2. Fold cardstock in half on the score line. Arrange cardstock on Signature Antique die using washi tape to hold paper in place. The folded side of the cardstock should be near the middle of the die as we do not want to cut the fold off. Run through your die cut machine.

Step 3. We are going to do the same thing with the pattern paper only we are going to use the Antique Mat die.

Step 4. Die cut the other shapes and letters you will need.

Step 5.  Assemble the treat bag toppers.

Step 6.  I like to run the entire treat bag topper through my Xyron 9" Creative Station. This way I know my treat bag is not going to fall apart spilling its contents everywhere.

Step 7.  Fill you treat bags with candy or goldfish crackers. I stapled the tops to help keep the bag sides folded in. Now set the top of the bag on the adhesive.

Step 8. Fold the top down to seal the treat bag shut.

I used my I-Rock to add some fish bubbles on my School is Cool treat bag. The I-Rock is super easy to use to add metallic gems or glam rocks to any project.

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers (Family Fun), i-Rock, metallic gems
American Crafts: Cardstock
Xyron 9" Creative Station

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will give this a try.
