Guest Designing for Scrapbook and Cards Today!

Hello blogging friends! I am beyond excited to be guest designing for Scrapbook and Cards Today.  I had a layout published in the Spring 2015 Reader’s Gallery that caught Nicole Nowosad's eye. Nicole has been providing awesome free cut files to SCT readers for some time now. Here is her Freebie File for you today...

Now this is geared toward planner crazed people (which I am not), So I struggled a bit before deciding to do a layout of my kids from my daughter's wedding last Fall. I really wanted to use those adorable emoticon faces with some of those photos that ... well, let's just say won't be in my wedding album. I finally decided to get out my Silhouette sketch pen. Here is my layout...

Just a note for you mothers of young kids, it doesn't get any easier to get a decent photo when they are older. I finally got a decent photo, but there are lots more like these. I love these though, as it really shows their personalities. 

As you can see, I had lots of fun with my watercolors, unusual for me, but I wanted the bright colors to show a festive air.
