Have you seen the new PageMaps sketches for December? I love working with Becky's sketches to kick start my mojo.
I've been wanting to scrap my grandson's first Minnesota Twins baseball game for a while now. I even bought the new Carta Bella Home Run collection designed by Steven Duncan.
As you can see the ballpark pretzel was paid more attention to then the game. lol
You can watch my YouTube process video here and hear all the details ...
I am so excited to share with you what I created with the October Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook which featured the American Crafts Farmstead Harvest collection along with some pattern papers and chipboard from the Carta Bella Hello Autumn collection. Let me show you what I created ...
1. Thankful - My daughter just bought a house so I was immediately drawn to this house pattern paper and she sent me the cutest photos her realtor took. Watch my process video here for all the details...
2. Hey Pumpkin - When your dog loves Pumpkin Spice Lattes just as much as you, you have to scrapbook it, right? Hear all about Princeton and see this layout come together.
3. Happy Fall - Best way to enjoy those Fall colors is on out new e-bikes!
4. Enjoy The Small Things - like Honeycrisp apples from your favorite apple orchard. I used the Vicki Boutin Sweet Rush stencil that was included in the kit to create my own mixed media background. Then I created a pile of leaves underneath my photo. Watch my process video here...
My Creative Scrapbook puts together 4 kits every month. There is something for every kind of scrapbooker! Go check them all out.
I flipped the sketch upside-down and decided to use one of the photo spots for my journaling. Since it is so close to Halloween, I scrapped some photos of my daughter Colette from last year. She dressed up as Cruella Deville at the Emergency Vet Clinic she works at and convinced her co-workers to dress up as dalmations. Unfortunately, no dalmations came into the clinic that night to pose for a photo, but a spotted German Shorthair was a close second. Here is my layout using the Carta Bella Hocus Pocus collection by Steven Duncan...
The title is one I created myself using the JustNick Outline Alphas - https://justnick.myshopify.com/products/outline-alpha . I love this SVG cut file for creating my own titles!
A layout about Cruella Deville would not be complete without Dalmation puppies! I downloaded these PNG files from https://freesvgplanet.com/ then print and cut them with my Silhouette Cameo.
Check out my YouTube process video for all the details and more close-up pictures...
It's time for the July Stash Bash. This month we are focusing on using printables. Printables are a great way to stretch your supplies and they don't take up space in your supply stash. I thought I would take this opportunity to do a tutorial on how to use the Print and Cut feature in the Silhouette software to print these Santas. If I start on my Christmas cards now, there is a chance I might get them out before New Years this year, lol. The Santa driving the pink convertible is from the Carta Bella A Very Merry Christmas collection and the Santa on the right is from the PhotoPlay Paper Holiday Cheer collection.
It's Halloween week at JustNick Studios so I am back today to share an adorable Halloween layout with you. Since my dog Satchel likes to greet all the Trick or Treaters, I like to dress him up in costume too. The kids love it. Even kids who may be afraid of dogs are not so scared of him when he looks so funny. Seriously, there is nothing scary about my layout! Take a look.
I used the new Spider Web 2 digital cut file for that awesome web as well as the 31 digital cut file for my title and the cat die cut.
I turned my title into a layered die cut by creating a background shadow using the offset tool in Silhouette Studio. I love how it pops against the yellow ink on my background. The googly eyes add a nice touch of whimsy. You can create a whole new look, just by adding a shadow layer.
Here are the digital cut files I used today ...

I am back to Stash Bashing this month. This time my designer friends and I are focusing on our 6x6 paper pads. Besides making cards, I love using my 6x6 paper pads to back my digital cut files, like these awesome fall cut files from JustNick Studios.
I also used a 6x6 sheet of pattern paper to cut out my title; I Like Fall Most Of All. I thought it would really pop against my mixed media background, but not so much ... so I outlined the title with a brown marker.
These big flowers from the In Bloom cut file reminded my of sunflowers, so I backed them with yellow pattern papers. The leaves I backed with an assortment of green pattern papers from a variety of manufacturers; Fancy Pants Designs, Simple Stories, Basic Grey, Graphic 45, and Carta Bella.
I tried to get my hubby in on this photo, but he just laughed at me. I was laying down in the grass watching the leaves fall. It seemed appropriate that I add a few leaves in here as well.
I wanted to list some of my Fall favorites in the white space of my photo ... of course Pumpkin Spice is at the top!!
This little fox was irresistable! He is a leftover from last year's Simple Stories Fall collection. Those gorgeous epoxy stickers are from the Carta Bella Hello Fall collection.
Here is my process video where you can see how I created that mixed media background and links to the other designer's videos as well ...
So happy to be back today with some Fall inspiration from JustNick Studios. I love everything about Fall; the cooler weather, the gorgeous leaves turning red, orange, and yellow, warm comfy sweaters, and pumpkin spice coffee. There are some awesome new cut files in the store to help you document your Fall memories. I used the Leaf Cluster 2 on this layout.
I backed the negative space behind the flower and the leaves with assorted pattern papers, making sure to get a good mix of red, orange and yellow. 6x6 paper pads are great for backing cut files with their smaller patterns. I love how pretty it turned out. It looks fabulous on my mixed media background. Here are a few detailed shots ...
Here is the cut file I used today ...
I even made a YouTube Process Video for my layout. I would love to have you stop by and watch. If you like what you see, I would love for you to subscribe to my channel.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great week!
I painted the wood pallet with a creamy off white paint. I thought the soft off white would look so elegant with the grey vintage burlap roses. A BullDog Clip in Bronzeholds my photo, matted using the Carta Bella Hello Fall pattern papers and chipboard stickers.
Tucked just above the burlap roses is one of the Acrylic Spool Sentiment Tokens. I love how it looks like a watermark on my photo.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have really loved sharing my projects with you.
It's circles week on the JustNick Studios blog and since I actually had a beach vacation this year, I am showcasing the Beach Umbrella Background. When I think of beach umbrellas I think red and white. I used red cardstock when cutting out the beach umbrella background cut file and then cut circles out of white cardstock that were sized for the umbrellas in the background. I placed the whole thing on top of this cool water pattern paper.
I wanted to use 2 photos on my layout, but I didn't want to cover up too much of that awesome background cut file. I decided to create a flip book with washi tape, so the top photo can be flipped up to reveal my second photo.
That awesome title is from the Summer Lovin digital cut file. This cut file has lots of fun Summer titles.
To emphasize the circle patterns, I stitched around each circle. I love the texture that the machine stitching adds. The pattern paper I used came from the Carta Bella Beach Boardwalk collection. It's an older collection, but I love the primary colors and its vintage vibe. Since I only had a sticker sheet from the collection for embellishing, I pulled some wood veneer pieces and flair from the Cocoa Vanilla Studios Hello Sunshine collection and added some Simple Stories brads and phrase stickers.
Here are the cut files I used today ...
I would love to have you watch my YouTube video if you are interested in seeing my process in creating this layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great rest of the week.
Marcia here today with my second Stash Bash YouTube process video in our monthly series. Each month some of my scrappy friends and I choose one element in our stash and create scrapbook layout focusing on that item. This month it was gemstones, enamel dots, sequins ... I went with gemstones. I have been wanting to scrap my daughter's bridal shower pics for a while now. I really debated whether to scrap these photos at all since my daughter is now divorced. But I figured her ex is not in the photos, and it was a really fun day with family and friends. We had a champagne brunch with a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme ... so much fun. We asked guests to come dressed as Audrey Hepburn ... elegant black dresses with pearls and hats. I intend to turn this layout into a 2 pager I think. I used the gorgeous Metropolitan Girl collection from Carta Bella paper
What do you think of that chandelier? I used my Imaginisce i-rock and rhinestones to add bling. I love the way it turned out.
There is more bling at the bottom ... this gorgeous swirl from Want 2 Scrap.
I adore the vintage feel to this collection. It was perfect for the Breakfast at Tiffany's theme.
I used a silver metallic thread to add some stitching here. I love mixing fonts for my titles.
and my beautiful girl...
