Hello blogging friends!
Fall is my favorite time of year! I love the trees turning color. So I thought I would create a home decor project that brought those fabulous leaves into my house. I found this white pumpkin at my local Micheal's store and couldn't wait to try a decoupage project. I started by die cutting leaves from a variety of the Imaginisce Bushel O' Fall pattern papers using my Cheery Lynn Large Leaves #1 dies. I cut some flourishes also with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and the Mini Fanciful Flourish dies. This is a fabulous way to use up your scraps! I began by adhering the leaves and flourishes around my pumpkin with decoupage. I added a couple more coats of decoupage over the top. Then I created a tag by attaching a die-cut to a piece of burlap and trimming the edges. Some twine and ribbon finish it off very nicely. Don't forget to use the i-Magicut ribbon cutter for no frayed edges on your ribbon.
Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers, Cardstock Die Cuts (Bushel O' Fall), i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter
Cheery Lynn: Fanciful Flourish, Mini Fanciful Flourish, and Large Leaves #1
Burlap, twine, decoupage, white craft pumpkin
I used ribbon from the monthly ribbon club at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Did you know they have fun challenges too? I am linking up to their Autumn Colors challenge.
