I have another Scraptown Lady layout to share with you today. I played with the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary collection. This collection has the most beautiful papers and coordinating chipboard pieces. Of course I had to use the My Favorite Things Die-Namics dies again too. Scraptown Lady has an amazing selection of papers, dies and now chipboard from Blue Fern Studios!! You really need to check it out.
This week I used the sketch from the amazing Nadia Cannizzo over at Once Upon a Sketch
I did a lot of distressing, fussy cutting and die cuts on this. I thought layers of the fishtail flags would look fabulous under the photo. I want to share a trick with you too. To keep the dies from moving around as you make your sandwich, adhere them to your paper with a little washi tape. This is especially helpful when you are cutting a striped pattern.
Want to see some close-ups... This lady was meant to be fussy cut out, don't you think! I love her hat :)
I love this chipboard piece and had to accent it with some Kaisercraft pearls.
These Prima flowers were the perfect color. The buttons I made with a die, cutting first a button from boxboard and then from my pattern paper. This gives the buttons some dimension and lets me add floss without having to worry about ripping the paper.
Since my page is so busy, I hid my journaling under the photo. I have always loved wearing hats. My girls loved to play dress up with some of them :) This is my daughter Naomi at age 2 with a hat I just had to have for a Caribbean cruise. I even wore a hat, not a veil when I got married.
