We are excited
to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day with our Quick Quotes friends and
fans! What better way than to have a fun blog hop!!! During our hop
you will see inspiration from all of the Design Team for our current
blog challenge. If you are coming from Christine Meyer's blog you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning, go here Quick Quotes Blog. Please visit the Quick Quotes blog for full details on how to play
along with our challenge.
This month we are featuring the Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalk inks. I use ink on every project I make I think. The powderpuff chalk ink is my favorite and comes in so many different colors. I use ink on the edges of my papers and on this layout I used it to also distressed the copy of the certificate I placed under my photo. To do this you can use a felt applicator or a sponge dauber and the Biscotti and Mocha Mama Powderpuff Chalk Inks. Dab your dauber in the biscotti ink and then lightly pounce it on your paper. If you want some darker areas use just a little Mocha Mama ink. Once inked, I misted with water and crumpled and rolled the edges. Let dry completely before using on your project.
This layout features my husband, 25 years ago right after his Marine Corp Boot Camp training. He went on to become a Marine MP and served as a reservist for many years. The Just Jackson collection was perfect for scrapping this photo! Our challenge this month at Quick Quotes is to do some fussy cutting. I cut the stars from the Just Jackson pattern paper and scattered them on my layout. Then I also cut this clock from a larger vellum sheet.
