Good Cheer - Lori Whitlock

 Hello everybody.

Are we ready to say goodbye to 2020! I sure am!! No parties yet for us though. We will be celebrating at home, just hubby and I. I do sure hope 2021 treats us better. If you know of someone in need of some good cheer in 2021, you can send them this card. My card will soon be headed overseas to my favorite serviceman. I hope it will bring a smile to his face.

I used the Lori Whitlock Hexagon Pop-Up New Year's Card ( SVG, Silhouette ).  New Year's decorations are usually silver and gold, so I went with that and added a black glitter cardstock base. The Good Cheer is a rub on I found while rummaging in my stash when making Christmas cards.

I love these 3D cards! They fold flat for mailing, but can be popped up and displayed. Thanks so much for stopping by. Here's hoping 2021 is better.

British Museum - PageMaps

Hello blogging friends!

Can you believe it's March already! Well that must mean its time for the March PageMaps sketches! I love the instant inspiration I get when looking at Becky's sketches. This month I decided I needed to buckle down and do another layout from my trip to London over a year ago. I have so many photos! When scrapping vacation photos, I love using 2 page layouts... you can get more photos scrapped on the 2 page spread. Here is the awesome sketch Becky sent me...

I love all the photos, perfect for a photo heavy day ... like the day we spent at the British Museum. Here is  my layout created with the Simple Stories Vintage Traveler collection.

If you are ever in London, you have got to see this museum! It is unbelievable!! So much history, so many rooms... be sure to wear comfortable shoes, lol. Here are some detailed closeups. My title alphas are from PinkFresh Studios. I think they look amazing with the Vintage Traveler collection. I did a little journaling here and added a sticker banner to draw attention to my title.

Across the page to the left, I framed a picture of the outside of the museum using a chipboard frame that is part of the Vintage Traveler collection.

I managed to use a rub on that has been in my stash for a very, very long time. I love when that happens. I also added a chipboard balloon here.

This is the view that greats you when you walk in... Look at that glass ceiling! There is another cluster of embellishments here, forming a visual triangle.

If you are as much in love with the Vintage Traveler collection as I am, you can still purchase it at Scrapbook.com.

Go check out all the other PageMaps sketches for March too. There are so many great ones! Thanks for stopping by.

Home Sweet Home - JustNick Studios

Hello blogging friends!

Before the first frost here in Minnesota, I wanted to get a photo of my hubby and I on our front step. I like to fill my front step with pots of flowers and ferns. It makes me happy to see the plants when I come home. I decided to scrap that photo using the JustNick Studio Home Sweet Home digital cut file.

Home Sweet Home made for the perfect title. I layered some gold over the top to create some added interest.

I knew I wanted to include some florals behind my photo and decided on Floral Swag 3. I filled the flowers with a variety of pink pattern papers.

Here are the digital cut files I used today ...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

America The Beautiful - Pebbles Guest Designer

Hello blogging friends!

I am so excited to be guest designing for Pebbles today! Wahooo!   They sent me the Land That I Love collection and I created 2 layouts to share with you. Summer is usually a time that my family vacations. I love a good road trip!  For my first layout God Bless America, I wanted to document a family trip to Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

I love that this collection has a Mount Rushmore die cut ephemera piece. It was perfect! I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a star background from one of the pattern papers.

The rosette star stickers added some dimension to my layout and played up the star theme.

I used the Land That I Love Foil Foam Thickers for my title. These thickers are awesome and are perfect for titles.

I really love how this layout came together.

For my second layout America The Beautiful, I wanted to document a trip to Washington DC. We did a Monument at Night Tour and were able to get photos of lots of the monuments all lit up ... so majestic!

I used a different star digital cut file on this layout, backing it with some stars and stripes pattern papers. I also added some of the fun fireworks rub-ons to the white background.

Once again I used the Land That I Love Foil Foam Thickers for my title and added some flag stickers and die cut ephemera stars.

Do you have any summer trips planned? The Land That I Love collection can be used to document your vacation destinations too.

I even have a YouTube process video for the God Bless America layout ...

Friends Become Our Chosen Family - JustNick Studios

Hello blogging friends. Happy National Scrapbook Day!

I am here today with some scrappy JustNick Studios inspiration and a FREE cut file! I love using circle frames around my photos. Floral Ring 2 is a new digital cut file, so I thought I would use it to showcase a photo of my besties. I have been reorganizing my scrapbook room and came across these pretty papers from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection by Paige Evans. I didn't have any coordinating embellishments, so I combined it some rub-ons from Chic Tags ( I miss them bunches! ) and some brads from the We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard collection. I love how the black brads help create a visual triangle with the title. I thought the Simple Stories washi tape from the Love & Adore collection went really well with it too. Yeah for using some stash!

To add dimension to my layout, I layered some more flowers on top of the Floral Ring. These are from the Stems For Stephanie digital cut file.

I used one more cut file today. I just love this title, Friends Become Our Chosen Family. These wonderful women really are like family for me. They were neighbors but most have moved away, still we get together at least once a month.

Here the cut files I used today...

If you are interested in watching my process video, here it is ...

Thanks so much for stopping by. You can grab the FLORAL RING 2 cut file for FREE using the code: RINGFREE at checkout until midnight on May 7, 2017 only!
