The theme for this hop is to introduce ourselves. We were given the task to create a layout about us. I rarely do layouts about myself, for one thing my kids tell me I suck at taking selfies and others rarely take pictures of me. I am using a selfie I took of myself last winter, its not too bad, is it? It won't be long now before I will be digging this coat back out. I live in Minnesota with my husband where the winters can start as early as October and last until April. Actually, it has snowed in May here, but it usually melts right away. We have three adult children. Our oldest daughter, Naomi, married last Fall, you've probably seen layouts of the wedding on my blog. Our middle child, Colette, is in her third year of Veterinary School. Our son, Trenton is attending school at the University of Minnesota studying Math and Physics.
At the moment I have lots of fur babies. I have been a stray magnet since I was a little girl. That turned into fostering puppies and kittens for local rescues. We have a dog, Satchel, and three cats, Delta, Spook, and Xena. They all follow me everywhere!
From 9-5, I am a software engineer. In the evenings I like to play with paper. I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years. That has evolved into cardmaking and other papercrafts.
Here is my layout using the October Clique Kit featuring the Happy Place collection from PinkFresh Studios...
I thought I would try to use alphas to describe all the different hats I wear.
I used one of the CK exclusive cut files to create a frame for my photo and use for the title of my layout..."You are capable of Amazing Things".
I love this flair pin that was part of the October "Funfetti" kit.
It's a bit busy with all the alphas.... but my scrappy style shows through. I like to use cut files, sequins, lots of layers, and stitching on my layouts. Thanks for stopping by. Your next stop is Candance.
Nice, cheerful, happy!!
