Practical Scrappers is doing an On Trend feature of what the Silhouette can do, so I created this layout with my Imaginisce Good Dog papers and die cuts.
This is me holding our dog Satchel the first day we picked him up and brought him home. (Actually we were camping, so it was a few days before he was actually home.) Satchel is almost 9 now and my lap is still his favorite place to be. Except now he has to share my lap with my cat Spook:)
One of my favorite things about the Silhouette is how easy it is to weld script fonts together. This font is called Lavanderia and is my favorite font hands down! You can download free fonts onto your computer to use with your Silhouette (no cartridges!)
The hearts background I downloaded from the Silhouette store, as well as the paw print. Then I added the paw prints on top of my hearts before cutting. The Silhouette store has lots of fun shapes, like this bone and heart strip.
You can also create your own shapes. Check out my For You With Love layout here, where I used the polygon feature to create rays from my hearts. Next up for me is going to be learning how to trace an image that I want to cut.
I used the sketch from Artful Delight, so I am linking up for their sketch challenge. This sketch was created by the very talented Debbie Burns...
Love the paw prints and the dogs - so adorable!
