The Carta Bella Paris Girl collection had me thinking Springtime in Paris. Not that Ashley or Denise had ever been to Paris, but because I think it would have been their dream vacation. They are what I call "Girly" girls. They love to shop, love chocolates and other sweets, love bling and sparkles. Anyway, here is my layout.
Did I succeed in making this girly? Here are some close-ups ...
I love how this dress form turned out. I finished it with white crackle paint, inked the edges slightly, then created a dress from sequin trim and rose ribbon.
I placed a hidden journal tag at the top of the photo...
When Denise was buried, her husband tucked a chocolate croissant inside the coffin just before they closed the lid. I don't think I have ever cried so much in my life as at that moment. I hope Ashley will make it to Paris some day, and if she does, that she will think of her mother.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
