Magic & Wonder - Quick Quotes Inspiration

Hello Quick Quotes fans! Marcia here today to share a Cracklin' Rose Christmas layout with you. I just love the rich colors and patterns in this new collection! This layout features my daughter visiting Santa.
I am starting to play around with different formats for designing sketches. So here is my first attempt at a sketch of my own design based on my layout. Not terribly happy with this format so I will be trying something else next time ...

It's a little hard to tell with this picture, but the edges of the layout are inked in gold. A Christmas layout has to have some bling :) My title came from the new Christmas collection papers. I used the red pattern paper to make my own poinsettias and spritzed them with some gold glimmer mist to make them shine. Branches of holly were cut with my Cricut.

Glue dots vellum adhesive sheets allow me to attach the vellum with nothing to show through. I created these hidden journal tags also from the pattern paper, that tuck nicely behind the title strip.
Some flocking and glitter add some sparkle to the tree I cut out using my Cricut. Christmas buttons work well for embellishment too, you just need to cut the shank off. The present was a button!
