Let Them Eat Cake and Sushi - New Artful Delight kit

Happy Monday everyone! I had a great weekend, I hope you did too. I have to share a picture of my daughter Colette who participated in her first 5K on Saturday ...
This race is called the Dirty Girl Mud Run and is a fundraiser for Breast Cancer. It is a 5K course full of obstacles guaranteed to get you muddy. There were over 5000 participants!!!   I am so proud of her, but I have to admit, I was a little concerned, as her medical bans were just lifted a month ago. This was her a little over a year ago after a car accident broke her neck...
She is one very determined girl and she made a full recovery. Maybe I will have to join her next year at the Dirty Girl Mud Run. It looked like loads of fun!

Artful Delight has a new fabulous August kit and new sketch challenges up!! Here is the scrapbook sketch...
I struggled a little bit with this sketch for some reason and am not entirely happy with the end result. Maybe because I used more photos. The Basic Grey Paper Cottage papers reminded me of the restaurant my son and husband love to go to for sushi. So I decided to do a layout with photos from my son Trenton's 18th birthday. I did lots of fussy cutting on this one! Anyway here is my take on the sketch...
and a few close-ups

Love these wooden buttons! Want to see what else is in this kit?

Here is the Scrapbook kit:
and the card kit:
The kits are packed with the papers by Bo Bunny, Prima and Basic Grey's new Paper Cottage.  You can check out the contents of the kits here.  If you are interested in purchasing a kit you can contact Leeanne at
There is a card challenge too. Here is the card sketch...
I hope you will join us at Artful Delight in out latest challenges!

  1. Oh goodness, is that ever a lot of mud! At least she looks happy. I think your layout turned out fabulous, and the fussy cutting is the perfect touch.

I love hearing what you think!
