Beach Babe

Marcia here to host the Quick Quotes blog today. I am going to share some secrets with you today. Winters can be long in Minnesota, and we Minnesotans are prone to Spring Fever. We do crazy things, like turn up the heat, put on our swimsuits, and have a little beach party in our basement. Complete with sand of course!
This layout, with a photo of my son from that beach party, was made with the Summer Samba collection and the new Quick Quotes Beach Umbrella Chipboard. I painted the umbrella with white crackle paint and when it was dry I applied Maraschino Cherry powderpuff chalking ink to the outer panels of the umbrella using a sponge dauber. I used some scrap paper to cover the white of the umbrella so as not to accidentally get any ink on the white.
My second secret to share with you is the vellum adhesive I use. Look closely at the quote.
No trace of adhesive anywhere! I used Glue Dots Vellum Adhesive Sheets to adhere the quote to white cardstock. The powderpuff chalking ink is perfect for inking the edges of the vellum too.
I have been humming this song all week! LOVE it. Don't forget, you can shop the Quick Quotes store for these items.
