Family, Its About Time

When I first saw the Welcome Home collection from BoBunny, I knew I wanted to use it to scrapbook my family's one and only formal portrait. When my daughter, Naomi, was about to head off to college, I realized that I did not have a decent family portrait. We never had a portrait sitting, just snapshots at family gatherings. I scheduled a sitting at CLIX, and planned what we would wear. Who would have thought that a portrait sitting would involve so much drama! My husband did not want to wear jeans (he prefers dockers). My girls did not want to wear the same shirt. My son did not like his shirt. Of course they complained mightily. This photo made it all worth it! The current challenge at BoBunny is "Make it Dimensional" so here is my layout ...

I added dimension by painting a vine with texture paint using a stencil and then made yoyo flowers. Every year I plant morning glories in my mailbox flower bed. I wanted morning glory flowers on my layout and this was the closest I could think of.
 Closeup of the keyhole.
I hid a journaling tag underneath the photo and attached a key to it.
Quick Quotes has a single photo challenge that I am entering this layout in also. I love how it turned out.
Lasting Memories challenge blog is also having a dimensional challenge.
And one more, Sketches in Thyme for their open challenge.
